Drip Irrigation

Up to 97% water efficient and exempt from Dallas city watering restrictions, for beds, borders and commercial plantings.

Why a planting bed fails under spray heads

A spray head is built to cover turf. Aim it at a bed of shrubs and perennials and most of the water lands on leaves, drifts off in a North Texas afternoon wind, or runs across the mulch onto the walk. The roots get a fraction of it, and the bare gaps between plants get watered just as well as the plants do, which is how beds fill up with weeds.

It happens on properties from Plano to Garland: a good lawn system with a bed zone that was never really meant to water a bed. Drip irrigation fixes the mismatch instead of working around it.

How Precision runs a drip zone

A drip line is laid in the bed itself, so the water arrives slowly and exactly where the plants are rooted. It runs on the same kind of automatic schedule as the rest of your system, which means no hose dragging and no remembering to water on a hot week.

Drip is also adaptable. Beds change, a border gets extended, a new tree goes in, and the line is adjusted with the landscape instead of being torn out. Precision installs drip zones on their own or alongside a new sprinkler system, and it repairs drip lines that were put in by someone else.

Commercial properties get the same treatment: entrances, planting strips and corporate grounds across Dallas, Richardson, Lewisville and Frisco, installed and repaired.

Dallas watering rules and where drip sits

Dallas limits sprinkler watering to twice per week, at low-evaporation times of day. That is a fair rule for a lawn system, and Precision programs sprinkler controllers to follow it. Drip irrigation is exempt from those city restrictions, so a bed on drip can keep getting the slow, steady watering it needs through a hot stretch.

Check the city's current schedule for your address, because it can change. If you want to know which of your zones would be better on drip, call (469) 534-1100 and describe the property.

What you get back

Better growth, because plants are watered at the root on a steady schedule. Fewer weeds, because the bare soil between plants stays dry. A lower water bill, because far less of what leaves the meter is wasted. It is also kinder to the environment, and a landscape that stays healthy holds its value.

Precision gives free installation estimates and replies to every inquiry within 24 hours, with a 3-year written warranty on new installations.
